Hyderabad, November 14: In order to introduce American authors to Indians, US consulate organized a book fair as part of Cildren’s Book Festival. The Charity Book Fair is organized at Saptaparni at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Speaking on this occasion, Karla Beneni, Public Affairs Officer of American Consulate told that the sale proceeds of the books will be passed on to a library maintained by an N.G.O. in Bhubaneshwar in oddisa.
This N.G.O. is providing text books to the children of the flood victims at half price. Participating agencies in the Book Fair are Odyssey, Landmark, Walden, Akshara Book Store, Arvind Kumar Publisher and scholastic India. The purpose of this Book Fair is to inculcate the habit of reading among children. As part of the programme workshop on creative writing, interactive skype session and other programmes are organized.
