Hyderabad: Telangana state Congress party affairs in-charge RC Kuntia has said that the in-charges will not do miracles in elections and do miracles only local leadership.
In chitchat, Kuntia said that the present TPCC team has been working perfectly. “I came here as a Congress party activist and not like a leader. I will visit every mandal in Telangana. I will chalk out an action plan to bring the Congress party to power in 2019 elections. It is my assignment given by the high command”, he said. There was no truth in saying that he was temporary in-charge. “AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi sent me here as a full-pledged in-charge. I will tour all 560 mandals in Telangana setting time limit. We will organize Rahul Sandesh Yatras in every constituency and mandal level. We will put charge-sheet on the government amidst people”, he said.
Stating that the Congress party agenda was social justice and comprehensive development, he alleged that the Chief Minister and Ministers were beneficiaries in TRS government and no other section benefited in this government. In Sircilla, Dalits were being attacked and Congress party lodged a complaint with NHRC.
He said that youth will get priority in all committees and allotment of tickets. “It is Rahul’s idea”, he said. “I have no power to decide the chief ministerial candidate. We will go to elections under the leadership of N Uttam Kumar Reddy, K Jana Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka, Shabbir Ali”, he declared.
Stating that the people of Telangana were in a feeling that the former chief ministers YSR and Kiran Kumar Reddy were not in favor of creation of separate Telangana state and hence they voted TRS to power. AICC president Sonia Gandhi accorded separate Telangana state bravely sticking to his assurance. TRS party has no idealism. There was no tradition in Congress party of deciding chief ministerial candidate before the elections. BJP was not an alternative party in Telangana. There were no TDP and YSRCP in Telangana. Congress only the alternative party to TRS, he said and asked KCR to tell as to why he met Sonia Gandhi immediately after the creation of separate Telangana state if she was not accorded Telangana state. “If KCR has confidence among the people he has to make the defected MLAs to tender their resignations and go for by-elections”, he challenged. “I worked in all states except Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry states. I don’t know about Bhatti Vikramarka’s proposed padayatra. Party will take a decision on it if there any such idea”, he said. (NSS)
