New Delhi: A special court on Thursday framed charges against former Rajya Sabha MP Vijay Darda and six others related to alleged irregularities in allocation of a coal block in Chhattisgarh.
The prosecutor had alleged that Darda did irregularities by allocating Fatehpur (East) coal block in Chhattisgarh to JLD Yavatmal Energy Ltd.
Special Judge Bharat Parashar framed charges against Darda, his son Devendra Darda, former coal secretary H.C. Gupta, former coal ministry officials K.S. Kropha and K.C. Samria, JLD Yavatmal Energy Ltd director Manoj Kumar Jayaswal and the company.
The accused have been charged with the charges of cheating and criminal conspiracy of the Indian Penal Code.
