Character building of students is the major responsibility of minority institutions; a teacher can play an important role in this connection as a citizen. These views were expressed by Vice Chancellor MANUU while addressing the inaugural session of 2-day training programme on ‘Leadership in minority institutions’ at UGC Human Resource Development Centre of Maulana Azad National Urdu University. He maintained that it was the responsibility of teacher to play his/her role in character building of students as a respected citizen of the country.
It must be noted the government of India has introduced a scheme called Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching, under which Centre for Academic Leadership and Education management CALEM has been established in Aligarh Muslim University. In this connection 2-day training programme was conducted on January 11 & 12 at Maulana Azad Nation Urdu University.
