Changing scenario of Urdu language; Two-Day National Seminar held

Bangalore: Inaugural function of two day national seminar on the changing scenario of Urdu language and literature organised by the Department of Studies in Urdu in collaboration with Karnataka Urdu academy was held on 11th May 2016.

Khaleel Mamoon (Rtd DIG, Govt.of Karnataka) delivered keynote address. In his address he pointed out that film and TV played an important role in development of Urdu. But unfortunately there is no standard online Urdu news papers.There are no major changes in Urdu because of Urdu .He also discussed about the changes in Urdu literature during progressive movement, modernity and post-modernity.

Prof.S.Masood Siraj,Chairman, Dept.of studies in Urdu welcomed the gathering and pointed out the importance and need of the topic conducting the seminar.

Prof. Mohammed Anwaruddin appreciated the efforts of the department in conducting the seminar on an important topic which is the need of the day.

Siraj Ahmed Khalid, Registrar,Karnataka Urdu Academy highlighted the programmes conducted by Karnataka Urdu Academy in the state.
