Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that his government was contemplating to bring changes in its Medical Policy to extend assistance to the people at low cost.
Inaugurating the Trauma Care Department in the NIMS Hospital here on Saturday, the Chief Minister said the government would spend Rs 176 crores for creating infrastructure facilities and to construct buildings in the State. He said the government would divert 40 per cent of the income derived from surgeries and other treatments to the government hospitals under Arogyasree schemes. He also said that the Central Drug Stores will be linked to the online on experimental basis in three districts soon.
Minister for Medical Education and Arogyasree Kondru Murali, Danam Nagender, K. Parthasarathi, Mukesh Goud, Dr S Sailajanath and others participated in the program.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone for new buildings in the Government School beside the NIMS Hospital.
