Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy on Sunday stated that the change in Chief Minister of State should not be linked with the Telangana statehood issue.
Talking to media persons here, Sukhender Reddy said that Telangana state issue should be treated separately and it should not be linked with the change in the Chief Minister of State. “The change in Chief Minister has nothing to do with the Telangana issue,” he said. “Achieving separate state is the utmost goal of leaders of this region,” he pointed out.
Responding to extending support to Telangana March scheduled to be held on September 30 under the aegis of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, the MP said that the Congress MPs would take a decision on it soon after discussing the same in a meeting to be held soon. He also demanded that the government release water from Left canal of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam to meet the drinking water needs of people in Nalgonda district.
