Hyderabad: Hyderabad High Court has granted bail to the 3 convicts in Chandrayangutta MLA attack case. One year after the session court convicted them in the attack case, the high court granted them bail and ordered their release.
Hasan bin Umar Yafai and Abdullah Yafai are in Cherlapally central jail while Awad bin Younus Yafai is in Warangal Central Jail. They are expected to be released today. It must be noted that another convict Mohammed bin Salam Dahlan was granted bail last year itself. The court has ordered to deposit two sureties of Rs 50000 each in the trial court.
It must be recalled that on June 29, 2017, VI Additional Metropolitan Session Judge Dr T Srinivas Rao had acquitted 10 accused including Mohammed bin Umar Yafai Aka Mohammed Pahelwan and pronounced 10-year jail sentence to 4 accused.
Challenging the judgment of session court the convicts had filed a bail plea in the High Court last year.
