Hyderabad: Hearing of Chandrayangutta attack case continued on Tuesday, during which Dr. Vinod of Care hospital recorded his statement. Dr. G Vinod Babu who is the Consultant Surgical Gastroenterologist of Care Hospital told the court that he is serving in the hospital for 10 years. On June 22, 2011 he received a request from Assistant Commissioner of Police Central Crime Station seeking the report regarding Akbaruddin Owaisi’s admission in the hospital and nature of his injuries. On the direction of hospital administration he signed a report prepared on the basis of details of case sheet and discharge sheet, as Dr. M A Saleem, the doctor who was attending the MLA, was on foreign tour.
Defence Counsel, Advocate G Guru Murthy questioned whether Akbar Owaisi was treated in the hospital during 30th April 2011 and 20th May 2011? Did he submit the case sheet regarding the treatment of Akbaruddin Owaisi in the court? Responding to the questions the witness told that he didn’t submit the case sheet in the court. Defence Counsel asked the witness whether he is giving his statement in favour of the complainant? On this the witness told that the opinion of Defence Counsel is not true, as he is not given his statement in the court at anyone’s behest. The witness told that he doesn’t know the details regarding the internal injuries of Akbaruddin Owaisi.
