Chandrayangutta attack case: Asst. Director Forensic Lab, records statement

Hyderabad: In view of Supreme Court’s orders to wrap up the case by January 21, the case hearing is carried out on daily basis. An Assistant Director of Forensic Laboratory recorded his statement in the court on Monday.

Dr. V Venkateshwarlu who is ballistic expert told the court that he received 5 letters in 2011, by DCP Detective, in which various items including weapons and clothes were sent for analysis. Dr. Venkateshwarlu told that items were sent to State Forensic Laboratory in sealed envelopes which contained 5 pairs of slippers, bullets, copper jacket and eye glasses with blood stains. He also informed that a pen, black nylon cover, phone guard, leather mobile phone cover, steal dagger, butcher’s knife having blood stains were also sent to Forensic Laboratory for analysis.

The witness further added that a city security wing pistol was also sent for investigation while the T shirt of Ibrahim bin Younus Yafai and other dresses were also sent for investigation. He also confirmed about the preparation of report of the above mentioned items after analysis. Forensic expert’s hearing was adjourned till the next day.
