Chandrababu has video conference with 400 NRI-owned IT companies

AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in a video conference with ‘IT Serv’, a consortium of over 400 NRI-owned IT companies in the USA. ‘IT serve’ represents several companies with multiple skill sets in various fields, including education, IOT, cloud management, app development etc.

Representatives from over 100 companies attended the video conference from Dallas, Chicago, New Jersey, Houston, Atlanta and Washington DC.  The meeting was convened by Ravikumar Vemuru, Advisor NRI Services and Investments along with Sai Prasad  and  Pradhyumna, Secretaries from Chief Minister’s office.

 

Some 50 companies expressed their readiness to move to AP immediately. The Chief Minister positively responded to their request for discounted plug and play rental space and partially trained workforce. The CM also decided to offer incentives to IT training companies at par with IT companies as requested by ‘IT Serv’ members. The CM said it would complete the ecosystem for development of IT companies in Andhra Pradesh.

 

Chandrababu Naidu also promised to look into other areas of concern expressed by ‘IT Serv’ members regarding some of the Government of India policies involving use of IP Phone calling, service tax on 99 year leases for land used to build IT companies etc. (NSS)
