TRS leader and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao here on Tuesday alleged that TDP president and former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is an unparalleled cheat and confidence trickster.
Speaking to mediapersons in the Telangana Bhavan, Harish Rao said Chandrababu Naidu is such a wicked person that he had backstabbed his own father-in-law late NT Rama Rao, who had given his daughter to Naidu, who was owner of just two acres. Similarly, the TDP president cheated the BJP, TRS, Congress, Communist parties and proved himself a confidence trickster, he added.
The TRS leader said Chandrababu Naidu had submitted a letter to the Pranab Mukherjee committee on Telangana that his party was not against formation of separate Telangana State. He had also assured Pranab Mukherji that his party would support Telangana cause if a Bill was tabled in Parliament. But now when the Telangana State was imminent, Chandrababu Naidu is planning to meet the President and what he would say on Telangana now, he asked.
Harish Rao said Chandrababu Naidu’s volatile behaviour was giving rise to suspicion that the TDP president was suffering from mental ailment. Questioning why Chandrababu Naidu was meeting the national leaders alone, Harish Rao recalled that Naidu had called on then Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram in the night. As per news reports, Chandrababu Naidu met BJP leaders alone and assured them of his party’s support to that party if they obstruct formation of Telangana State.
Demanding Chandrababu Naidu to make his stand clear on Telangana, Harish Rao said the TDP has spit into three factions. TDP has transformed into three-eyed party from two-eyed, he quipped. Suspecting that Chandrababu’s secret political agenda was that of sabotaging Telangana State, he asked the Telangana TDP leaders to accost former about his double standards. “If Telangana TDP leaders are sincere on Telangana State, they should corner Naidu and make him extend support to the Telangana Bill”, he said. He also asked the Telangana Congress leaders to bust the conspiracies of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy. (NSS)
