AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today compared YSRCP president and Leader of Opposition Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to the notorious selfstyled “Messenger of God” Ram Rahim of Dera Sacha Soudha, who was convicted on rape charges today.
Interacting with the media after the TDP winning the Nandyal Assembly by-election, in which the YSRCP was trounced, Chandrababu Naidu referred to Ram Rahim’s nefarious activities and said he had converted his Dera into a den of criminal activities. “If there is Dera Baba, here is Jagan Baba”, he quipped.
Lashing out at the YRCP Chief, Chandrababu Naidu reminded how Jaganmohan Reddy had stooped low during the election campaigning by openly saying that he (Naidu) should be shot dead on the streets. Even after the matter was brought to the notice of Election Commission, Jagan continued his diatribe by stating that the CM should be hanged, he recalled.
The Chief Minister also said Jaganmohan Reddy even degraded the Legislative Assembly by encouraging his party MLAs to create ruckus and disturbance and prevented smooth functioning of the House. However, the people of Nandyal have seen through unbecoming acts of Jaganmohan Reddy and taught him a bitter lesson by defeating his party nominee. “The people have pinned their hopes and confidence in the development activities of TDP and rejected and denounced the destructive agenda of YSRCP” he observed.
