Chandrababu not to support TRS No-confidence motion

Hyderabad, February 13: The proposed No-Confidence Motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government by the 11-member Telangana Rashtra Samiti, has once again exposed the politics of one-upmanship being played by the Opposition. The Congress government, meanwhile, is sitting pretty with the added strength from the Praja Rajyam.

It was a foregone conclusion that Telugu Desam, chief Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, would not go along with the TRS in seeking a No-Confident Motion as both the parties are well aware that a mid-term poll in the state might not be advantageous to the TD.

Mr Naidu, thus on Saturday, made it clear that the motion was not part of his party’s agenda. Addressing a press conference at Madanapalle, Mr Naidu said that that some political parties had their individual agendas, but the TD always spearheaded the people’s agenda.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, made light of the matter and said, “Let them muster the strength at least to move the motion first and talk later about making the government fall.”
