Chandrababu Naidu demand SC categorization

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu said that his party was strongly in favour of categorisation of Scheduled Castes that would benefit the community with fruits of social justice.

Talking to media persons after emerging out from TDP polit-bureau meeting here on Saturday at NTR Trust Bhavan, Naidu pointed out that durnig the TDP rule Usha Mishra Commission was constituted for the categorization of SCs. A resolution was also passed supporting the implementation of its recommendation. However, he alleged that the Congress government has scrapped the commission’s recommendation.

Naidu said that TDP would write a letter to the Center demanding social justice to all castes within the Scheduled Castes. He said that a constitutional amendment was mandatory to extend social justice to the SCs. Therefore, he requested the centre to introduce the required amendments.

Condemning the attitude of government towards fee reimbursement scheme, Naidu said that government has been playing with the students’ future. Students are state’s future asset but they are in a dilemma about their future due to present situation. Demanding that the State Government continue the fee reimbursement scheme, Naidu warned that Telugu Desam party would be forced to organise strong protest.

Reacting on Anna Hazaare’s decision to start a political party, TDP president said that corruption movement would get diluted with the formation of a new political party. Independent movements could play a vital role in eradicating the corruption while formation of new political parties would harm the prospect of the targeted aim. However, he said that the TDP would support Anna Hazare’s movement against the corruption but could not be assure him of support for his proposed political party, Naidu clarified.

TDP president alleged that irregularities in the State and at the Center were on the rise. Inspite of eradication corruption, the State Government was coming to the rescue of tainted ministers.

Reacting to the water scarcity in Hyderabad city, Naidu said that he himself was facing the shortage of water at his home. Water was being supplied once in three to four days, that to in less quantity. Naidu warned that government would bear the brunt if the public loses its patience.
