Hyderabad, June 21: The Telugu Desam party president and former
chief minister, Mr N Chandrababu Naidu, and the Kadapa MP, Mr Y S
Jagan Mohan Reddy, separately called on the popular character actor,
Mr Kota Srinivasa Rao, on Monday and consoled him on the death of his
son Kota Venkata Sai Prasad, on the city outskirts on Sunday
afternoon.
Mr Srinivasa Rao was uncontrollably weeping on the death of his only
son when Mr Chandrababu Naidu called on him at his residence at Film
Nagar. Mr Naidu consoled the bereaved family members and expressed his
sympathy.
It may be mentioned here that the actor’s son Venkata Sai Prasad was
going to the Novatel Hotel near the Shamshabad airport on his
newly-acquired high-powered motorcycle when a truck hit his vehicle.
Prasad, who sustained grievous head injury was rushed to a nearby
hospital where he died.
Fate has it that Prasad chose to travel by his motorcycle despite
objections by other family members who were also going to the hotel in
a car. Prasad started to the place on his vehicle, pleading that there
was no room for him in the car. Relatives said that he chose to travel
by the two-wheeler because of his passion for high speed vehicles. He
was stated to be driving the bike on high speed when he applied brakes
to avoid a lorry at a turning. His vehicle skidded off and he
sustained grievous head injury.
