TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, who was on his Padayatra in the district, has alleged that the ayacut was reducing while the expenditure on Jalayagnam was increasing and they were cleared in the government transactions.
Reacting on the State Budget 2013-14, Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the State Government slashed budget for agriculture and the development of agriculture sector was in reverse direction. He also alleged that the State government has totally failed to implement Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu program.
Stating that there was rampant corruption in the Child and Women Welfare department Naidu alleged that the State government had totally failed to get the funds from the Centre to help the victims of the natural calamities. Housing and Rajiv Gruha Kalpa schemes were weakened and the Congress leaders were looting the Indiramma Housing funds.
There were no allocations for safe drinking water though the State was facing acute drinking water scarcity. The government has no intention to extend help to the handloom sector, Chandrababu alleged and said the State was facing 19 per cent deficit in electricity when compared at national level power scarcity.
