Chandrababu fears defeat in polls, indulging in loose talk: Talasani

Hyderabad: Claiming that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi will win 16 Lok Sabha seats, Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said the people are solidly behind Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and considering the pink party as their home party.

Speaking to mediapersons at Telangana Bhavan here on Saturday, the minister lashed out at Chandrababu Naidu for playing dramas on the polls. He alleged that TDP supremo and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu gripped in fear of defeat and counting his days. He also said AP Minister Lokesh emulated his tricky father and played dramas at Mangalagiri.
Talasani attributed Naidu’s move to visit national capital as a false campaign out of fear of defeat in the polls. Stating that AP voters’ turnout was good and appreciable, Srinivas said Chandrababu Naidu violated poll code by talking to Election Commission for false publicity. Naidu was playing “cheap” politics for publicity and failure to develop the residual State, he said.
Talasani also faulted the AP Chief Minister for violating poll code by releasing a video urging the people to cast votes for democracy on the polling day. The EC has to initiate action against Naidu for poll code violation, he demanded. He also expressed his displeasure at the TDP chief for his false propaganda on the EVMs. When a large number of 46,000 EVMs were used for the general elections, there might be some technical problems with some 300 EVMs, he said. This is not a big issue and the technical team of the EC fixed them with perfect machines and there was no need to make a fuss about the issue, he said.

The Telangana minister alleged that the TDP chief attained notoriety for corruption and facing several criminal cases. He also asked whether Chandrababu Naidu got bails in the cases. The TDP chief is care of address for corruption, manipulations, uttering lies and targeting everybody in frustration, he fumed. He also alleged that Chandrababu Naidu performed inefficiently as Chief Minister and trying to hoodwink the people by launching vilification campaign against everybody in frustration. Just for the sake of votes and to avert his impending defeat in the battle of ballot, Chandrababu Naidu hatched several conspiracies to create fear psychosis among people in the two Telugu States, he said.
