Telugu Desam Chief and Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu will leave for Delhi on February 3. He is likely to call on President Pranab Mukherjee and express his views against State bifurcation and seek equal justice to Seemandhra region post bifurcation. TD sources said they are awaiting an appointment with the President. Naidu’s trip assumes significance as the Group of Ministers is all set to finalise the T bill on February 4.
Third Front talk surfaces again
Meanwhile, leaders of various political parties are planning to come forward again with Third Front which is an alternative to Congress and BJP at the Centre and Naidu, who was the convener of Third Front is likely to take responsibility if it takes shape of political alliance probably after Parliament session.
Naidu is likely to meet national leaders of CPI, CPM, BJP and others to impress upon the issue to ensure that the issues related to residual state of Andhra Pradesh will be addressed properly. The TD chief is also expected to make it a point that the Centre adopt an amicable policy on bifurcation. It may be recalled that Naidu is furious on the Centre for failing to convince the Seemandhra leaders in this regard. (NSS)
