Chandrababu committed to uplift poor, women: Satish Reddy

Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Satish Reddy today said the State government would come out with good welfare schemes for the uplift of poor and women in the next four years.
Participating in Janmabhoomi–Maa Vooru program in Chagaleru village of Pulivendula mandal, Satish said though the State was facing financial crunch, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was working in the direction of fulfilling his pre-poll promises.
Stating there was a need to waive the farmers’ crop loans to the tune of a total Rs 40,000 crores, he said the State government would pay Rs 10,000 crores to the banks in 10 days to waive 10% loans of the farmers. The waiver of loans of remaining farmers would be made through banks, he added.
Reminding that the AP State government has taken up several welfare measures, Satish Reddy pointed out that the old aged pensions were increased from Rs 200 to Rs 1,000 while the handicapped pensions were increased to Rs 1500 from Rs 500. Chandrababu Naidu was making vigorous efforts to put Andhra Pradesh on top in the country by achieving development in all sectors. He exuded confidence that the measures taken by Chandrababu Naidu government would solve all the problems being faced by the people in the State. (NSS)
