AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said his government has successfully completed six months in office.
Speaking to mediapersons at Vijayawada, the Chief Minister described 2014 as a horrifying year. The people taught a fitting lesson to the Congress party for bifurcating united Andhra Pradesh in haste. While debt was slapped on AP in proportionate to population, revenue was not allotted on the same proportion, Naidu said, adding that in spite of huge losses his government fulfilled its promise of waiving of crop loans.
The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh would become No. 1 State in the country by 2029. Stating that he would launch “Smart scheme” in the State on January 18, he said “smart ward, smart division and smart village is the aim of his government. He said his government would ensure provision of toilet and drinking water to every village. The Chief Minister appealed to people to open banks accounts under PM Jan Dhan scheme.
Earlier, Chandrababu Naidu visited Sri Venkateshwara Swamy temple at Labbipet in Vijayawada. He worshiped Lord Venkateshwara on the occasion of Vaikunta Ekadashi. Naidu was welcomed by temple priests amidst chanting of Veda mantras. He greeted the devotees, who were patiently waiting in the queue to worship Lord Venkateshwara.
Chandrababu Naidu was accompanied by minister Devineni Uma, Kollu Ravindra, MP K Narayana and Mayor Koneru Sridhar. Later, the CM participated in a New Year program organized by the Irrigation department in Vijayawada city and cut a cake on the occasion where party leaders and others were present. Naidu also worshipped Goddess Kanaka Durga atop Indrakeeladri hill. He also attended another new year function organized at Tulluru, as part of proposed land for new capital. (NSS)
