Hyderabad, October 14: Municipality department happen to be on the top in the list of the departments who are responsible for keeping the city clean and unpolluted yet by taking a look at GHMC south zone office (Sardar Mahal) it is quite apparent that these departments are in deep slumber.
There are so much garbage, junk, filth spread across the Sardar Mahal building that no one could believe that this is GHMC south zone office. Despite the fact that the offices of zonal commissioner south zone, executive engineer, assistance city planers, assistant medical officers and other municipal authorities are located in the area, the condition of this GHMC south zone office building is appalling.
Although the building has been declared as heritage structure by the archeology department, still the municipality department is neglectful of the protection and cleanliness of the historical building.
Residents of the old city have high expectations for the staff of this building that they will help them in making the old city clean and green but beholding the garbage pile and junk in the municipality office building itself, it seems that it is because of them that the city is so unclean.
