New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will share the stage with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the Champaran rally on September 19, kicking off his campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections.
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, however, will not be participating in the rally by the anti-BJP alliance.
“Nitishji is attending the rally. Who will attend from the RJD is for that party to decide but nobody has any issues with either Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi. Nobody has any objection to anybody attending the rally. The Champaran rally will prove that the grand alliance is intact and successful,” Janata Dal (United) leader K.C. Tyagi said.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi had earlier shared the dais with Nitish in the Swabhiman rally in Patna, where she dubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA Government as ‘anti-farmer’ and lashed out at him for his ‘DNA jibe’ against the Bihar Chief Minister. (ANI)
