The Legislative Council Chairman Dr A. Chakrapani has said that he was examining the disqualification petitions against Congress MLCs.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Chakrapani said that the members concerned have asked for two weeks to submit their explanations as at that time the Council was going on. He said that he would take decision with regard to disqualification petition against the members receiving after their explanation.
It may be recalled that Council Whip Y Sivarami Reddy had lodged a complaint against the MLCs — SV Subba Reddy, Konda Murali and Pulla Padmavathi — for involving in anti-party activities.
Interestingly, Pulla Padmavathi, announced in the CLP office two days ago that she would continue in the Congress party. (NSS)
