Ms. Neelam Sahani, IAS, Principal Secretary, Dept. of Minorities Welfare issued G.O.Rt.200 yesterday fixing the Pay and Allowances of Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman of Minorities Commission on a par with a Cabinet Minister. In this way, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan will get Rs. 1.44 lakh every month.
It may be noted that Govt. of A.P. constituted A.P. State Minorities Commission on 16th May 2013 and gave the status of a cabinet Minister to its Chairman on 3rd July 2013. In case he uses a bullet proof car, he will be eligible to get Rs. 30 thousand as travelling allowance.
