Chairman Minorities Commission and his staff did not get pay for 4 months

(Siasat News) Govt. made lofty claims for introducing welfare schemes for the benefit of Minorities but when the opportunity comes for implementing them, it neglects the important issues. As per the High court orders, Govt. of A.P. constitute A.P. state Minority Commission. It is very regrettable that the Chairman and his staff did not get their salaries for the past four months. Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, has been given the status of a state minister but no adequate security has been provided to him. He has also not been given Govt. vehicle. Although a budge of Rs. 1027 crore has been allocated for Minorities, only 10% of it has so far been utilized.

Mr. Abid Rasool Khan told due to his efforts of improving the efficiency of state bodies, some of the Govt. officials are jealous of him and they are trying to put hurdles in the functioning of the commission. He further told that the commission has the powers of contempt of court notices to erring officers. He is reviewing to take action against the lethargic officers.
