Chairman Chhattisgarh Waqf Bard Mr. Saleem Ashrafi visited Telangana Hajj House and observed the performance of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Waqf Boards.
Saleem Ashrafi who is also the member of Central Waqf Council expressed satisfaction over the performance of Waqf Boards of both the states and the measures taken for protection of Waqf properties.
Secretary Minority Welfare Telangana Syed Omer Jaleel and Andhra Pradesh Director Minority Welfare Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal apprised him of Boards’ performance and problems confronted to them.
Mr. Saleem Ashrafi said that the central government wants to benefit Muslims through Waqf properties and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened meeting with members of Central Waqf Council thrice. He further said that the central government will give positive consideration to the proposals received by the states. His adviced the officials of both the states to send the details of problems confronted by them so that representation can be made to the centre through Central Waqf Council.
