Chada urges KCR to regularize services of TDC Outsourcing Employees

Former MLA and CPI Telangana State committee secretary Chada Venkat Reddy on Sunday urged Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao to reverse the decision of conversion of 36 contract employees of Tourism department into outsourcing employees and initiate steps to regularize the services of all contract employees.
In a letter to the Chief Minister, the CPI leader stated the aggrieved 36 employees have been working in the Tourism Development Corporation in various capacities since 2002. They were given appointment orders as contract employees on December 11, last year in accordance with GO No 1679. However, without any intimation, these employees were converted into outsourcing employees unilaterally causing them mental agony.
The CPI leader pointed out that the issue of conversion of contract employees as regular staff has been under the examination of the government since the past 10 years. The managements of Tourism Development Corporation had also taken a decision to regularize their services. He also pointed out that there are only 200 permanent employees in the TDC. Besides, some 1,600 employees were working as contract and outsourcing employees. This system is not in vogue in any department. “Therefore, I request you to kindly look into the issue and issue favourable orders immediately”, he added. (NSS)
