Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal today said he had reviewed the poll arrangements, deployment of police force, execution of non-bailable warrants and enforcement of model code with collectors and superintendents of police of the 12 districts where the by-poll would be held on June 12 through video conference. Informing this at a press conference here, he said necessary instructions have also been given to take up the videography of the poll process and appointment of Micro Observers in all the polling stations. Mr Bhanwarlal said he has also instructed the Collectors and SPS to arrange live webcast of poll process in the polling stations.
He said instructions have been given to advertise special mobile numbers on which the receiver of objectionable SMS can forward the said SMS (along with the number of the sender of objectionable SMS) and to initiate appropriate inquiry and trace back the original sender of such SMS and take appropriate action under the relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code, Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, instructions/directions issued thereunder by the Commission and any other law applicable in the case.
