Stating that Congress high command was thinking that favorable decision on Telangana would benefit the party immensely, Telangana senior Congress leader Dr K Keshav Rao has strongly felt that Centre’s decision on Telangana may come by the end of September this year.
Speaking to the media after extending solidarity with Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao’s “Mouna Deeksha” for ‘brainstorming session’ of the party, Keshav Rao said the party high command would take a decision on Telangana by the end of September. He also said that he does not know whether the decision would be in favor of Telangana or otherwise.
Stating that there was nothing wrong on the part of Union Home Ministry submitting reports to the President with regard to Telangana issue, Keshav Rao said that a final decision on Telangana has to be taken by the Union Cabinet only through the Home Ministry’s reports to the President. He also described as “utter nonsense” the talk that the Union Home Ministry submitted reports to the President against creation of Telangana. He also said that he didn’t know what signals the TRS Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao had got on separate Telangana State.
Responding to Hanumantha Rao’s “Mouna Deeksha”, KK said there was nothing wrong in staging “Deeksha” demanding ‘brainstorming session’. He recalled that he had convened ‘brainstorming sessions’ when he was PCC Chief. The results were good, he added.
