Former TRS MP B Vinod has alleged that the State and Central governments were showing step mother love towards Telangana region. It was bad on the part of the Medical Council of India (MCI) which sanctioned additional medical seats only to the three colleges located in Seemandhra region, though the State government had proposed the names of six colleges from the State requesting the enhancement of seats, he bemoaned.
Speaking to the media here on Monday, Vinod has questioned MCI as to why it didn’t sanction additional seats to the Osmania, Gandhi and Kakatheeya medical colleges, which were also proposed by the State government. He questioned whether it was not discrimination against Telangana.
Alleging that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Medical Education Minister Kondru Murali were neglecting the Telangana Medical Colleges and hence the MCI had not sanctioned additional seats. Vinod has released the letter addressed to the Chief Minister in this regard.
Vinod has said that TRS Chief K Chandrashekar Rao would talk to the Prime Minister and Union Medical and Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in this regard and will achieve 150 seats to the Telangana region.
