Union Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy has informed that the Central Government plans to spend Rs. 12,000 Crore during the next two years for skill development among youth.
Speaking after inaugurating the Skill Development Centre by Telangana Jagruti at Ashok Nagar on Friday, the Union Minister said that the Centre aims to develop skills among youth under Pradhan Kaushal Vikas Yojna. He said that the Centre has planned to set up nearly 25,000 skill development centres across the country at a cost of Rs. 32,000 crore. He said that youth needs to be trained to meet the requirements of different industries. He praised Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruti president K. Kavitha for launching the Skill Development Centre and assured complete help of the Central Government.
The programme was also addressed by Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatrayya, IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao, Telangana BJP president Dr. K. Lakshman, MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi and other leadres. (INN)
