Centre serious on Muslim reservations

(Siasat News) Mr. Salman Khursheed, Central Law Minister told that Govt. of India is serious for 4.5% reservations to the Muslims. It is pursuing it in Supreme Court. Mr. Khursheed went to Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir’s house and met him. He talked to him about the Muslim reservations also. He told that when the reservation case was challenged in A.P. High Court, Central Govt. had to lose the case because of Asst. Solicitor General. Mr. Shabbir had complained against him to Prime Minister and Mr. Salman Khursheed. Hence Mr. Ashok Goud was changed and in his place, Mr. Venkat Reddy has been appointed as Asst. Solicitor General.

Mr. Salman Khursheed told that Govt. of India is serious about Muslims reservation. Govt. is hopeful. Since reservation to Muslims has been provided under B.C.’s category it can’t be opposed. He acquired all the relevant documents from Govt. of A.P. for 4% reservation given to the Muslims by Govt. of A.P. so that it could be utilities in Supreme Court. Centre has not provided these reservations on the basis of religion, so it is likely that these reservations would be retained.
