Hyderabad: Central government has sanctioned Rs. 126 Cr for construction of 7 Minority Residential Schools in Telangana. Of the minority schools established by the state government, buildings of 7 schools will be constructed by central fund.
After his return from New Delhi, Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel told that the state government had requested centre to extend financial assistance in connection with the construction of minority schools. In the first phase, Rs. 126 Cr has been sanctioned, with an estimate of 18 Cr per school.
Centres contribution in this will be 60 pc while Telangana government will contribute 40 pc. In the said scheme centre will pay 75.6 Cr while the Telangana government will have to share 50.4 Cr.
