Hyderabad, February 16: The anticipated crisis in the government in the ensuing budget session of state legislative assembly on one hand and Telangana movement getting intense on the other have compelled Congress high command to decide in favour of separate Telangana state. Highly placed sources from Delhi have told that Congress high command is mentally prepared for the bifurcation.
Sources said that Congress president Sonia Gandhi directed Home minister P Chidambaram in this connection to have talks with Telangana and Seemandhra leaders and take out a an amiable solution.
Centre has realized that the demand for separate state of Telangana is not only from TRS and other Telangana organizations but it is from the public and even if TRS wants to weaken it, it may not.
Realizing the serious situation central government has eventually decided to form separate state and clear indication has been given to the core committee members of the party in this regard.
Sources say that high command wants to avoid any further announcement regarding this issue since the announcement made on December 9 2009 had spurred agitation in Seemandhra.
Sources from New Delhi told that the process of formation of Telangana will be started ahead of 2014 elections.
