Centre for Promotion of Knowledge in Urdu at MANUU

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University is establishing a Centre for Promotion of Knowledge in Urdu. The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz has approved the recommendations of the Executive Council and Academic Council on Tuesday in this regard.

According to the notification issued by Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, Registrar, the Centre is being established based on the Mandate of the University under promotion of Urdu Language envisaged in the section 27(1-K) of the MANUU ACT, 1996.

The promotion of Urdu is intrinsically linked with the transfer of knowledge as an intellectual property. The Centre will help to promote and rejuvenate Urdu l as an original knowledge source.

The proposed Centre will be the first of its kind in the Country to cater towards development of Urdu as knowledge literature. It would prepare students for learning in Urdu by connecting them with life of different experiences.
