The Central government is contemplating to announce a special package to Seemandhra region, reliable sources said today.
The Centre was considering to give a special package to Seemandhra for creation of a new capital for the region with all modern facilities, sources in the UPA government said.
It was learnt that there would be no changes in the cabinet note on the status of Hyderabad.
The sources said the Centre was thinking of extending maximum financial help to Andhra and Rayalaseema regions for the development and creating infrastructures.
The Centre strongly feels that problems would erupt in case Hyderabad was given status of Union Territory, sources said, adding that the GoM constituted to study problems and address concerns of the people may not visit the State and the Centre wanted to expedite the process for formation of Telangana.
