The Central Government has ordered a departmental probe into the allegations of phone tapping levelled by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu against the Telangana Government.
According to sources, the office of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has issued the orders for a probe, which would be taken up either by the Department of Tele-communications or Union Home Department. It may be mentioned that Naidu had lodged a complaint with President of India Pranab Mukherjee and the Prime Minister alleging that the Telangana Government tapped the phones of about 120 persons, including himself.
