Union minister for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitaraman today said the Centre would help develop industries in the new States of Telangana and residual Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons on her arrival here from Delhi, Nirmala said the Centre would not show any partiality towards Telangana State and the Centre is committed for the development of Telangana. It was the Centre’s desire to develop every State in the country on par with Gujarat, she added.
“With the formation of Telangana state, scope for creating employment opportunities for the local youth has increased. We need to provide necessary training for skill development,” she said.
Nirmala Sitaraman, who arrived for the first time after taking charge as Union minister, said, “We will check atrocities against women and the Centre has already initiated steps to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks. She also said priority would be given to boost food processing industry.
Sitaraman said she would attend the Sunday’s swearing-in ceremony of Chandrababu Naidu. She was accorded a warm welcome when she arrived at Shamshabad airport. Telangana State BJP president G Kishan Reddy, party’s national vice president Bandaru Dattatreya, Khairtabad MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy and others were present. (NSS)
