New Delhi [India]: The Centre on Thursday granted Z-plus security to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The security cover is given to the Prime Minister, President, Vice-President, Supreme Court and High Court Judges, State Governors, Service Chiefs of Indian Armed Forces, Chief Ministers and Cabinet Ministers depending upon the threat perception which is provided by the Intelligence department.
Under the Z-plus cover, 36 personnel guard the person accorded the security.
The group includes 10 plus National Security Guards (NSGs) and police officers.
There are 4 categories of security threat.
A person accorded with Z-plus security is entitled to have 36 personnel, where in the periphery of the Z category there are 22 personnel guarding the person, under Y category people get 11 personnel and under X 5 or 2 personnel are deployed. (ANI)
