Centre to give Rs 200 crore for Pharma City

Information Technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao has sought the Centre to give financial tax relief for Telangana State.

The Minister, who is in New Delhi to meet various Union ministers,  met  Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and demanded that Telangana be allotted a leader project. He also demanded the minister to allot multi-brand SEZ to Telangana. He demanded that the Centre establish a dry port to Telangana since it had no coastal region.

Speaking to the reporters after meeting the Union minister, KTR said that he had sought Rs 1,500 crore to the proposed pharma-city in Hyderabad for which the Centre agreed to release 200 crore in the first phase. He also sought incentives and tax relief to various projects in Telangana. (INN)
