Accusing the Congress high command of enacting the tricky “Mayala Fakheer” type of dramas to indefinitely delay a decision on separate Telangana State issue, BJP national leader Bandaru Dattatreya has felt that unless the Telangana MPs and ministers resign from their posts and primary membership of the party and create Constitutional crisis in the State, the Centre would not concede the demand of the people of the region.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Dattatreya charged the Centre with holding talks, meetings and so on for eye-wash and if the Centre was really sincere in thrashing out the Telangana imbroglio, it should table a Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha. Stating that suicides by students for the sake of Telangana State were not a solution to the issue, the BJP leader said the Congress party should own responsibility for all the suicides of the Telangana youth. He also assailed the Centre for buying time by summoning the Chief Minister and PCC president again and again for holding talks on the T issue.
Dattatreya said his party would take out a mammoth youth rally from Baghlingampally to Indira Park on February 10 with a demand that the Centre introduce a Bill for Telangana State in Parliament. He also charged the Centre with introducing the Cash Transfer Scheme for scrapping subsidies to the poor by linking Adhar Card number to LPG supply. (NSS)
