New Delhi, August 25: The Centre is drawing a contingency plan to deal with any possible law and order situation arising out of the Allahabad High Court judgement in the Ayodhya title dispute next month.
The Home Ministry has began the process of consultation for a contingency plan and was gearing up to deal with any situation in the wake of the judgement.
Sources said there might be a law and order problem in the state when the judgement is delivered and hence adequate security forces would be needed, especially in Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh government has already sought 50,000 central paramilitary personnel to tackle any situation arising out of the court order.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday had a meeting with Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Home Minister P Chidambaram and Defence Minister A K Antony following the Uttar Pradesh government’s request.
