Centre to convene all-party meet on Nov 12, 13

The Ministry of Home Affairs will conduct the all-party meeting on Telangana issue with the eight political parties of Andhra Pradesh on November 12th and 13th.

Instead of inviting all political parties at once, the MHA would be holding consultations with the four parties each on November 12 and 13th, according to sources. The meeting will discuss various provisions of the Terms of Reference of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana with the representatives of political parties and seek their suggestions on the same. While the TRS, BJP and CPI are in favour of Telangana State, YSRCP, CPM and AIMIM are against the division of Andhra Pradesh. However, the two major parties – Congress and TDP are divided on the issue. Therefore, it is not yet clear how the Centre would divide each parties into two groups of four each.

Further, the parties are yet to decide whether or not attend the all-party meeting. (INN)
