Union Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today said Central teams would soon visit the cyclone-hit districts in the Coastal Andhra Pradesh for assessment of loss caused by Hudhud.
Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Venkaiah lamented that Andhra Pradesh was badly affected by the Hudhud cyclone even before it could recoup gigantic loss on account of bifurcation of the united State. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to extend maximum help to Vizag to get normal. The Chief Minister also urged the Centre to take immediate measures to rebuild Vizag, which is under the list of smart cities, he added.
The Centre would grant adequate assistance to AP to tide over the crisis, Venkaiah said. The State government took all measures to cater to the needs of victims of Hudhud cyclone, he added. He exuded confidence that three districts will get back to normalcy in a few days as relief and rescue operations are in full swing. The Centre is with the cyclone hit public and will provide needed help, he said. The government pressed its machinery to provide succor until three districts get back to normal, he said. (NSS)
