Central Hajj Committee meets today

Hyderabad, February 26: Central Hajj Committee meeting will be held on February 26 in New Delhi. The arrangements for Hajj 2011 season will be reviewed in the meeting. The meeting agenda is said to include international passport, 24×7 Hajj call centre, measures to curb irregularities and corruption and suggestions regarding that, besides provision of facilities to Hajj pilgrims.

According to the reports of Central Hajj Committee the meeting will practically begin Hajj 2011 arrangements and final decision will be taken regarding the date of issue of forms.

According to sources the committee has also kept the proposal of drawing more lots than the quota in its agenda which will be finalized after consulting with the members.

According to sources forms would be issued in the beginning of March and the last date for submission would be April 15. Drawing of lots is likely to be completed in the second week of May.

Decision has been finalised to accept applications of Hajj aspirants having international passport only.
