A team of experts consisting of Scientists and Doctors led by Dr. Sridhar and Ms. Ujwala visited the studio of Deccan Radio 107.8 yesterday. The members of the team revived all the departments and the broadcast of Deccan Radio. They suggested that Science programs should be included in the schedule.
Addressing the members of the team, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat highlighted the activities of Siasat Urdu Daily and Deccan Radio. He told that the institution of Siasat Urdu Daily is functioning as a mission and movement which encompasses all aspects of life. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while highlighting the broadcast of Deccan Radio told that this Radio is operating on 107.8 FM following the scheme of community radio. The response of the public is tremendous. He further told that various programs covering various issues of society are broadcast through this radio.
Mr. Zahid Farooqi, Station Manager of Deccan Radio gave the details of various sections of the radio and informed about the daily and monthly programs of the radio. He also told that the live broadcast of Deccan Radio is very popular among the youngsters since it broadcasts issues relating to Education and Employment. Mr. M.A. Hameed, Career Counsellor responds to various questions put forth by the listeners every week. Present on this occasion were Mr. Mohammed Ismail, Director of Deccan Radio, Mr. Faheem Ansari, Mr. Muneer Ahmed and the Staff of Deccan Radio consisting of Ms. Safoora, Ms. Siddiqua and Mr. Heena Yasmeen. Mr. Zahid Farooqui proposed vote of thanks at the end.
