Thiruvananthapuram, July 06: A day after CPI-M Politburo decided to convene a central committee meeting to find a solution to the infighting in party”s Kerala unit, Politburo member M K Pandhe said all issues including the graft case would come up for discussion at the July 11-12 meeting. In a brief chat with reporters on the sidelines of a party function here today, Pandhe, also a CITU leader, said besides SNC Lavalin issue, organisational problems in the party and the functioning of the state government would also be discussed.
“That meeting will settle everything,” he said adding that the meet was called at a short notice as the problems in the party in Kerala were of serious importance and should be discussed in the central committee. Denying that there was rift in politburo on the proposals to end the feud between factions loyal to Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan and party”s Kerala secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, he said the PB and CC meetings were called as the party felt that it was an urgent matter.
There is no need for any speculation as to how the problems would be resolved, he said. CBI has named Vijayan as an accused in the SNC-Lavalin case.
