Center urged to decide quickly on Telangana- Prof. Kodandaram

(Siasat News)President of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, Prof. Kodandaram demanded the Central Govt. to take any decision on Telangana issue. He also demanded the authorities to present a bill in the current session of the Parliament. He participated in the hunger strike camp of Mr. G.Kishen Reddy at New Delhi. He supported Mr. Kishan Reddy’s stand for going on hunger strike for three days. He targeted the Central Govt. for adopting dilly dallying tactics and told that it won’t be tolerated any more now.

He told that the Central Govt. should take any decision about Telangana before the Bio-Diversity Conference to be held in the city from 1st October. If it is not done so, Govt. of India will get a bad name and its reputation would be spoiled internationally.

He told that Telangana Political Joint Action Committee doesn’t want to disturb this international conference.

He told that Parliament is a constitutional institution. An assurance was given in the Parliament that the process of formation of Telangana State would be initiated soon. This assurance given in the Parliament has not been honored and it was not implemented. In this manner, Center has humiliated the constitutional institution. He told that the demand for separate Telangana State is a just demand. The Central Govt. should take immediate steps for the formation of Telangana State. He pointed out that Telangana Movement is the result of 50 years of struggle against injustice done to the people of Telangana. Disappointed by the attitude of the central Govt. the people of Telangana are agitating because in every field they were neglected. The development of Telangana can take place only in the separate State of Telangana.

Prof. Kodandaram told that due to the misleading of the state leaders, the hunger strike had been organized in New Delhi. He told that the struggle for separate Telangana is the need of the hour. He appealed to all the political parties to come to a common platform.
