Censor board cuts to delay ‘Darling Don’t Cheat’ release?

The makers of thriller “Darling Don’t Cheat”, which was all set to release on October 30, are worried if they can release it on schedule after the censor board sought numerous cuts and mutes in its scenes and dialoguesm.

“We were looking forward to the release as we have received a mind-boggling response for our promotional activities. But the censor board’s instructions to have numerous cuts and mutes in the controversial scenes, dialogues and cuss words have come as a shock to us. We are now in a dilemma and the entire decision-making team will soon deliberate on the next course of action,” producer-director Rajkumar Hindusthani told IANS.

“There is no doubt that our film is bold and has a lot of explicit scenes but each scene is according to the demand of the script. I feel the cuts and mutes suggested are completely unfair as we are not looking for U/A certificate but for an A certificate.

“And there is nothing objectionable for adults in my film… in fact these scenes will completely grip them. All our promotional strategies till the release date has now gone for a toss as we have to now think of a way retaining our effective scenes and releasing the same day,” he added.

The recent announcement of a nude trip contest had already generated significant buzz about the film, made under the banner of Fyeo Media Works, while the hard-hitting trailer and brutal first look had got popular.
